Dr. Maya Alwan

Dr. Maya Alwan is highly specialized in the management of antenatal, postnatal and gynaecological cases. She has earned her MBBS and her Master’s in obstetrics & gynaecology, both from BAU, Lebanon. She looks after high risk pregnancies contraception and family planning with great competence. She can proficiently tackle antenatal, postnatal and gynaecological cases, high-risk pregnancies and including emergency caesarean sections. Apart from undertaking normal vaginal deliveries, assisted vaginal deliveries, caesarean section diagnoses and management of gynaecological diseases, she is well known for handling with care ovarian cystectomies, myomectomies, hysterectomies and the repair of cystoceles, and rectoceles She has worked as a Senior Specialist in obstetrics & gynaecology at the Saad Specialist Hospital, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and as a Senior Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Makassed General Hospital, Lebanon. She is an honorary member of the, Lebanese Order of Physicians. She is also a recognized Senior Specialist obstetrics & gynaecology in the Saudi Commission of Health Specialties where she is DHA certified as Specialist obstetrics & gynaecology. She has conducted various surgeries including D&C, endometrial sampling, cyst drainage, contraception and family planning issues including IUD insertion. She is an expert at conducting obstetrical and gynaecological ultrasound laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, colposcopy, cancer screening and laser rejuvenation.
