Dr. Abdollah graduated in medicine (MBBCh) from Dubai Medical College in 2009 and initially attained a master’s degree in quality and healthcare management from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland in 2013 while undertaking her specialization in psychiatry. Dr. Abdollah’s time serving as psychiatry resident at Rashid Hospital in Dubai saw her handling many acute and chronic conditions. Her scope of work covered outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and emergencies for addiction, child and geriatric psychiatry. Her role in private outpatient clinics had her dealing with diverse age groups and ethnicities. Dr. Abdollah is skilled in treating disorders in adults and children including anxiety – panic, social phobia, depression, bipolar, OCD, trauma and stress, schizophrenia, and eating disorders. She has a special interest in women’s mental health covering different life stages and circumstances. Dr. Abdollah is a public figure who features prominently in mental health awareness in the UAE.
