Dr. Majidah Bukhari

Dr. Majidah Bukhari is a distinguished Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Dubai Healthcare City and serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Sharjah. She earned her MD in Gastroenterology from King Abdulaziz University in 2006 and is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC), the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), and the UK Royal College of Physicians (MRCP GI). Dr. Bukhari also holds FASGE credentials and is actively involved with the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy as part of the international committee.She specializes in comprehensive digestive and liver disease management, advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, gastrointestinal motility disorders, and hepatology. Her procedural expertise includes upper and lower GI endoscopy for screening and polyp removal, ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, capsule endoscopy, motility testing including esophageal manometry and SIBO, POEM for achalasia, intragastric balloons, endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, and advanced interventions for GI bleeding, strictures, fistulae, reflux, steatosis, and obesity.An influential educator and patient advocate, Dr. Bukhari founded the Elegance Society to promote women in endoscopy, has hosted major training events and conferences, and even performed an endoscopy on herself to raise awareness.
