Dr. Liliana Magalhaes

Dr. Liliana is a Portuguese board-certified Specialist in Family Medicine with 15 years of training and experience in Portugal and the UAE.She obtained her medical degree from the University of Porto, Portugal in 2008 and soon after earned her specialization in Family Medicine. In 2010, she gained a postgraduate degree in Travel Medicine from the New University of Lisbon.Dr. Liliana completed a 4-year residency at S. Julião Familly Healthcare Unit in Lisbon doing rotations in OB/GYN, pediatrics, endocrinology, rheumatology, palliative care, and geriatric medicine. She also gained extensive experience in children's health during her time at the Pediatric Department of Hospital de São Francisco Xavier, EPE, from 2011 to 2014. While doing her residency, Dr. Liliana dedicated five months to volunteer work in Guinea-Bissau. Moreover, she completed internships in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic (2006) and in Neurology at The Bellvitge University Hospital, Spain (2008). She participated in the Erasmus exchange program at the University of Padova in 2007. In 2011, she pursued an elective rotation in Geriatric Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Allen Hospital in the US.Dr. Liliana has a great ability to put her patients at ease and inspire their trust through her calm and welcoming demeanor. She is well regarded for dedicating time to listen to her patients and thoroughly discuss their treatment options.
