Dr. Kote Shamsheer

Dr. Shamsheer Kote is a Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology at Medcare Hospital, Al Safa and at Medcare Dr. Saeed Al Shaikh Gastro and Obesity Centre. After completing his MBBS degree from Kasturba Medical College in India, he went on to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (of London) and earned a Membership of the Royal College of Physicians, (London) besides a certification from CCST (London). Dr. Kote is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), the Royal Society of Medicine, London, the European Association of Study of Liver Disease (EASL) and the General Medical Council (GMC), London. He is also a medical advisor to the National Association of Crohn's and Colitis, UK. He spent a considerable number of years practising as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Physician at East and North Herts NHS Trust, QE2 and the Lister Hospital at Hertfordshire in England. Subsequently, he worked as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Physician at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital and was an Assistant Professor MBRU at in Dubai for a short while.
