Dr. Issam Hreirati

Dr. Issam Hreirati is a highly experienced Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon with over 25 years in general surgery and more than 20 years specializing in advanced laparoscopic procedures. He earned his MD from Aleppo University in Syria in 1984, holds an honor degree in General Surgery from the Syrian Ministry of Health, and obtained a diploma in Endoscopic Surgery from the University of Lille, France in 1993. He also received advanced laparoscopic training in the USA. Dr. Hreirati currently serves as Head of the Surgical Department at Saudi German Hospital in Dubai, where he specializes in bariatric (weight-loss) surgery, surgical treatment for reflux (GERD), achalasia, colorectal disease, and common laparoscopic operations such as cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and appendectomy. His experience spans open surgical procedures for breast, thyroid, and abdominal conditions. He is fluent in English, Arabic, and French, and is recognized for his surgical expertise, research contributions, and participation in international conferences.
