Dr Hashmit Kaur headed to one of the most coveted dental colleges of North India, SGRD Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, Amritsar.Her choice to study Pedodontics was well considered and aimed at tackling dental problems at the “teething stage”.During the course of her Post Graduation, she dealt with holistic dentistry for children, including dentistry for children with special health care needs, dentistry with Nitrous Oxide conscious sedation, and dental procedures under General Anesthesia. A firm believer of Myofunctional Therapy, she believes in channeling the natural growth of the child’s jaws to eliminate most commonly encountered habits that children display that has adverse effects on their dentition.She finished her Post graduation in 2018 and has been practicing in Dubai since then. She has applied her socio-medical skill and proved her professionalism at the dental chair and “waiting room chairs” alike.Before she reaches the root of the tooth, she invariably reaches the core of the patient’s heart!Pain free dentistry, educative discourse with the parents, firm and friendly grip on the patient and a sure footed treading on a confirmed diagnosis make her a successful paediatric dentist.
