Dr. Ghita Harifi

Dr Ghita Harifi is a European Certified Rheumatologist and Musculoskeletal Ultrasonographer with nearly a decade of experience and specialisations in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, gout, systemic lupus erythematosus, and spondylarthritis.With an extensive background in clinical practice, Dr Harifi has been delivering exemplary care since 2012. She offers expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound, leading teaching programmes within the UAE and the APLAR region. Her commitment as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at MBRU and her role as a GCAA Specialist Aeromedical Examiner since 2018 underpin her dedication to the medical field. Dr Harifi’s educational pursuits led her to become a Fellow of the Université de Strasbourg and accrue specialised qualifications in Interventional Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound from the Sorbonne Universités in Paris. This foundation has equipped her with the proficiency to excel in her field.Besides her clinical and educational roles, Dr Harifi is an active researcher and a published author in peer-reviewed journals. Her leadership is recognised internationally as she serves as the Vice-Chairperson of the APLAR Young Rheumatologists Committee. Her achievements include being honoured with the Emirates Women Award in 2022, celebrating her success in the UAE.
