Dr. Galina Scerbacova

Dr. Galina Scerbacova is a Specialist Paediatrician in the Department of Paediatrics at Medcare Medical Centre. She obtained her MBBS and MD in Neonatology, from the Department of General Medicine of the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy. She was awarded the qualification of Medical Doctor Paediatric from Chisinau in the Republic of Moldova. Her credentials are impressive as she was bestowed with the Certificate of Merit for Meritorious Work, SUM and Ph and a Diploma for Excellent Work, SUM and Ph from Nicolae Testemitanu, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. She is a Gold winner from Paediatrics Clinics of the Year for Mother, Baby & Child, and winner of the Best Paediatrician of the Year from Family & Kids Magazine and recognized as the Best Family Specialist at The Best Mom Awards in Dubai. Dr. Scerbacova is a member of the Prenatal Medicine Association of Romania, and the Paediatrics Association of Russia, both in the Republic of Moldova. She is also a member of the Paediatric Club Dubai.During her initial days as a Paediatrician, she practised as a Consultant Neonatologist via AVIASAN Service that provides outreach emergency consultative care by Specialists for new-born and Neonatal Transportation in Prenatal Center Level III of the Republic of Moldova. She served as a Specialist Paediatric - Neonatologist and Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics at the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy in the Republic of Moldova. Parallely, she was a Consultant Neonatologist and a Specialist Neonatologist at the NICU at Prenatal Center Level III, Central Scientific and Research Institute Mother and Child in Chisinau. She also served as a Specialist Paediatrician, at High School “Pampedia” in Chisinau before relocating to Dubai in the UAE.Dr. Scerbacova spent some time as a Specialist Pediatrician first at Kind Care Medical Center, then at Al Manara and the GMC Clinics in Dubai in the UAE. In addition to her professional responsibilities, she has worked as a Consultant Neonatologist on the International Platform - i Path and was the national expert at the confidential Perinatal Death Audit in the Republic of Moldova.With immense practical working knowledge in treating diseases of newborns, infants and children, Dr. Scerbacova has successfully managed conditions like anaemia, infectious diseases, lower respiratory tract infections, gastroenteritis, influenza, febrile seizures, eczema, asthma, COVID-19, urinary tract infections, constipation and diarrhoea. She is proficient in working with premature babies and babies that are born with serious illnesses, or those who contract diseases at birth, low birth weight or congenital malformations. She is an expert in adolescent health, crying baby and child syndrome, infant and toddler nutrition and neonatal jaundice.She conducts ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, hip, brain, and thyroid with Doppler. Her organizational and communication skills are excellent and she displays great patience, compassion and sensitivity towards her patients.
