Dr. Zsuzsanna Ricz

Dr. Zsuzsanna Ricz is a highly experienced Specialist in Paediatrics practising with the Palm Jumeirah branch of Medcare Medical Centre. She has a Diploma in General Medicine from the Semmelweis Medical University in Hungary. She further qualified herself with a Board Certification in Paediatrics, a Board Certification in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, and a Board Certification in Paediatric Pulmonology, all from Hungary. She is a member of the Hungarian Association of Paediatricians.Dr. Ricz completed her residency at the Intensive Care Unit and Department of Anaesthesiology at Heim Pal Children’s Hospital in Hungary. Later, she became a member of the team of the Tertiary Neonatal and Pediatric Surgery Center at the Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest. She worked at the Bronchology Department of Pest County Pulmonology Institute in Torokbalint, Hungary and was a Specialist Paediatric Pulmonologist at Svabhegy Pulmonology Institute, Budapest, Hungary. She also worked in teaching hospitals at the University Clinic in Budapest and acquired invaluable experience as a Consultant of Paediatrics and Anaesthesiology and later as Head of Paediatrics and Neonatal Care at the Telki Private Hospital, Hungary. Subsequently, she moved to the UAE, where she joined the HealthBay Polyclinic in Dubai as a Specialist in Paediatrics and Anaesthesiology. She also worked as a Specialist in Paediatrics at the Emirates Hospital Clinic, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Dr. Ricz takes care of children from the neonatal stage to adolescence. She is experienced in treating children with trauma and emergencies and those with rare diseases, serious conditions as well as congenital malformations. She has treated children with gastroenterological, liver and renal problems, and endocrine and metabolic diseases too. She gained experience in performing bronchoscopy evaluation and in treating children with congenital and acquired airway problems and pulmonary diseases like asthma, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis and airway stenosis. She manages acute infections of the throat, sinus, ear, chest and urinary tract, abdominal pain and acute gastroenteritis. She has a special interest in the diagnostic and therapeutic process of the most common allergic conditions like allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, asthma, food and inhalant allergy, skin infections and eczema. She provides baby care, feeding counselling and assessment of physical development and neuro-developmental milestones. She gives mandatory as well as traveller’s vaccinations from 6 weeks of age.During her leisure hours, Dr. Ricz likes to go out with friends, spend time at the theatre, watch movies and indulge in some Latin dancing.
