Dr. Wasen AlKhafaji is an Iraqi-Swedish Consultant Rheumatologist with 10 years of experience in delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the understanding and treatment of rheumatic diseases.Dr. Wasen is Swedish Board-Certified and has experience in pediatric rheumatology through her work in Norwegian National Advisory Unit of Rheumatic Diseases in Children and Adolescents.As a consultant with Trust South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority (Betanien Hospital), Dr. Wasen has overseen the care of patients with rheumatic diseases, serving a population od 425,000 in Telemark and Vestfold.Dr. Wasen played a pivotal role in treating pregnant women with rheumatic diseases in collaboration with the National Competence Service for Pregnancy and Rheumatic Diseases at St. Olavs Hospital-Trondheim.Dr. Wasen gained experience in diagnosing and treatment of rare rheumatic diseases as systemic sclerosis, IgG4 related diseases, Behçet’s disease.
