Dr. Tanmay Radhakrishna Amladi

Dr. Tanmay R Amladi is a Specialist in Paediatrics at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBS and MD in Paediatrics from the University of Mumbai, India. He did his clinical and academic training in all aspects of neonatal and paediatric clinical and preventive care, counselling, treatment of inpatients and outpatients, treatment of patients in NICU and PICU, and nutritional rehabilitation of malnourished children at the NRC, Sion Hospital. He also holds a Diploma in Child Health and a Paediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) Certification. He is a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics and a member of the National Neonatology Forum.Dr. Amladi spent more than two decades as a Paediatrician and Neonatologist at Shushrusha Hospital, Mumbai, India and as an Honorary Head of Dept of Neonatology at the Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital, Mumbai, India. Subsequently, he relocated to the UAE where he spent a couple of years as a Specialist Paediatrician at Zulekha Hospital, and then at the Grand Infinity Medical Center. He also worked briefly as a Specialist Paediatrician at UniCare, Al Muhaisnah-4 and the Prime Medical Center, Motor City before joining Medcare.Dr. Amladi’s expertise covers the entire gamut of newborn and infant care, weaning advice for infants, growth monitoring in children, paediatric allergies and developmental issues including ADHD, Autism, Global Developmental Delay (GDD) and learning disorders. He treats paediatric infections including all respiratory, gastrointestinal, skin and soft tissue infections, paediatric allergies like asthma, eczema, atopic dermatitis, and urticaria, and paediatric upper respiratory illnesses such as adenoidal hypertrophy, recurrent sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, chronic post-nasal drip etc. He is proficient in treating all paediatric gastrointestinal diseases like acute and chronic gastroenteritis, abdominal pain, gluten intolerance, food intolerance, SIBO, chronic constipation, parasitic infestations, paediatric urinary tract diseases, UTI, bedwetting, paediatric haematological disorders such as iron deficiency anaemia, megaloblastic anaemia etc. and paediatric behavioural disorders such as autism ADHD, global delay and learning disorders. He is an expert in monitoring the growth and development of high-risk babies such as low birth weight babies and preterm babies and gives dietary advice for the ideal growth and development of infants, school-going children and adolescents.Dr. Amladi enjoys drawing, painting, sketching, swimming and indulging in some amateur karaoke singing during his leisure hours.
