Dr. Simmi Zahid

Dr. Simmi Zahid is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Medcare Medical Centre. She obtained her MBBS from the University of New South Wales, Australia and later became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP). Additionally, she has been accredited in Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy from the Gastrointestinal Society of Australia (GESA). She is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).Dr. Zahid’s foundation of clinical practice is based on updated guidelines and the latest endoscopic innovations, with an emphasis on ensuring a holistic approach to gut health. This is backed by her extensive training in large tertiary hospitals in Sydney (Australia), including two years of fellowship in advanced endoscopy under the mentorship of world class experts. She relocated to Dubai in 2024, working at Fakeeh University Hospital.Despite training in therapeutics, she is an expert of all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology, with a keen interest in women’s health and the complex overlay with hormones and the gut microbiome. As an advocate for health prevention and screening, she provides exceptional and compassionate care to all her patients with an evidence-based approach.
