Dr. Rfaat Bitar is a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery working at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBS from the Aleppo University Medical College in Syria and obtained his Syrian Board Certificate in Orthopaedic Surgery from the Syrian Commission of Medical Specialities.Dr. Bitar has spent over a decade working in Syria and the UAE. He has worked as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at several hospitals under the Ministry of Health in Syria. Notable among these is his work at the Relief International Hospitals, an international NGO that partners with communities impacted by conflict and disaster to save lives and promote long-term health and wellbeing.As a skilled orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Bitar focuses on treating diseases and injuries to the musculoskeletal system. His expertise covers hip and knee replacement and the treatment of upper and lower limb fractures, tendon and ligament injuries, ankle sprains, knee, back and neck pain, shoulder and knee sports injuries, meniscus treatment, recurrent shoulder dislocation, shoulder, elbow and wrist arthritis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), Trigger finger and heel spurs and inflammation.
