Dr. Omnia Mosalam

Dr. Omnia Mosalam is a General Practitioner at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS from Menoufia University and pursued advanced education, including the first part of her Master’s Degree in Neuropsychiatry from Benha University, both in Egypt. She holds a Basic Life Support Certification from Menoufia University and is passionate about continuous learning. She has completed numerous medical courses and training, including a Psychiatry Masterclass from Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine and a programme on Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research from NIH.During the initial days of her career, Dr. Mosalam worked as a Resident in Psychiatry at the Shebin El Koum Educational Hospital in Egypt. She also gained valuable international experience through a student exchange programme at Pilsen University in the Czech Republic. Later, she moved to the UAE, where she demonstrated excellence in emergency care and patient management during her tenure at Ishaq Bin Omran (IBO) Medical Centre in Sharjah. She also did a stint at the Life Medical Centre in Ajman before joining Medcare.Dr. Mosalam is a skilled General Practitioner with nearly a decade of comprehensive experience in clinical and hospital settings. Committed to delivering high-quality medical care, she is known for her patient-centred approach and strong diagnostic skills. She specialises in primary healthcare and emergency medicine. Her expertise extends to managing diverse patient needs, including acute conditions, preventive care, and health education. She manages all chronic diseases like diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, thyroid disorders, gout and hypertension, performs minor procedures and wound care, treats infectious diseases, and conditions of stress and fatigue. She advises on lifestyle changes, weight management, headaches, iron and vitamin deficiency, believes in preventive health check-ups, performs immunisations and vaccinations and takes care of geriatrics too. She is proficient in treating respiratory conditions like URTI, acute bronchitis, allergic rhinitis, influenza, musculoskeletal conditions like low back pain, neck sprain and GIT conditions like acute gastroenteritis, IBS and haemorrhoids.She attends medical conferences and workshops, enhancing her knowledge and staying abreast of the latest advancements in medicine. She enjoys reading during her spare time and speaks Arabic and English fluently.
