Dr. Nohora Carolina Bastidas Hurtado is an experienced Specialist in Otolaryngology at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS and a Certification as an Otorhinolaryngologist from Universidad del Valle, Colombia. She is a Research Fellow in Laryngology from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.During the initial years of her career, Dr. Hurtado worked with the Columbian Military Force in Bogota. Here she had to deal with war-related injuries on the head and neck. She then joined Hospital Mario Gaitan Yanguas, a second-level hospital, as an Otorhinolaryngologist attending to outpatients, emergencies and doing general ENT surgeries like septoplasty, turbinoplasty, management of nasal fractures, adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy resection of lesions in the nasal cavity and oral cavity and Glossopexy. She also practised at a private clinic called Medicentro Familiar IPS then at E S E Hospital de Meissen and Medical Clinic in Colombia as an Otolaryngologist. Subsequently, she moved to the UAE to join Medcare as a Specialist in Otolaryngology.Dr. Hurtado specialises in treating paediatric and adult patients for a range of conditions related to the ears, nose, paranasal sinuses, upper pharynx, oral cavity, larynx, and face and neck disorders. Her expertise includes both medical treatment and surgical interventions.
