Dr. Nihad Ahmed Talha

Dr. Nihad Ahmed Talha is a Specialist Psychiatrist at Medcare. She has done her MBBS and Master's in Psychiatry from Shendi University under the Sudan Medical Specialisation Board, Sudan.Dr. Talha commenced her career in Psychiatry nearly a decade ago, at the ElSharif Specialist Hospital in Sudan and after completing her Master’s degree, she worked at the Omdurman Military Hospital, also in Sudan. Later, she worked briefly as a Psychiatrist at the Royal Care International Hospital, Sudan, before moving to the UAE to join the Harmony Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health in Dubai. She is a member of the Sudan Medical Specialisation Board and the Sudan Medical Council.Dr. Talha’s expertise covers comprehensive psychiatric assessment and diagnosis of patients, and providing individualised treatment plans. She also practices child and adolescent psychiatry (ages 3+), psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy (individual, family, and group therapy). Patients come to her for the treatment of ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, conduct disorders, management of mood disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders and psychotic disorders.At the end of a hard day’s work, she likes to unwind with a good book. She also enjoys travelling and speaks Arabic and English.
