Dr. Itedal Albani

Dr. Itedal Albani is a General Practitioner at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS from the University of Sharjah, UAE and received a Professional Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal College of Physicians, Ireland. She has an MSc in Medical Education for Healthcare Professionals from the University of Warwick, UK and has completed both the Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications. She holds a Clinical Teaching Fellowship position at the University of Sharjah.Dr. Albani commenced her career as an Intern House Officer at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) and then worked as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at the University of Sharjah, facilitating undergraduate medical education through hands-on clinical teaching, organising and supervising hospital rotations, and conducting academic sessions. Later, she worked as a General Practitioner at the University of Sharjah’s Medical Clinic where she gained invaluable experience in managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, conducting clinical assessments, prescribing treatments, and offering preventive health advice.As a General Practitioner, Dr. Albani’s expertise covers all types of acute and chronic conditions, including upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs), asthma, COPD, otitis media and otitis externa, conjunctivitis, gastroenteritis, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and hyperlipidaemia. She believes in giving evidence-based, patient-centred care with an emphasis on accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and ongoing management. She has successfully treated patients suffering from conditions like headaches, dysmenorrhea, throat, back and abdominal pain, GERD, hypertension and sinusitis.During her leisure hours, she likes to keep fit by indulging in Horse riding and swimming. She speaks Arabic, English and Turkish.
