She completed her undergraduate studies and Doctor of Medicine degree from the American University of Beirut then fulfilled her internal medicine residency at St Louis University and nephrology fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. In addition, she achieved an advanced fellowship in hypertension at the University of Chicago.
