Dr. Farah Kitana

Dr. Farah Kitana is a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MD degree from the University of Jordan Medical School, an Internship in Internal Medicine from Al-Istishari Hospital, Jordan, and a Residency in Internal Medicine from Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC. She is a member of the American College of Physicians.Dr. Kitana commenced her career in Internal Medicine at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, and then relocated to the UAE to join Medcare. Her expertise covers obesity and weight management, nutritional education, women's health, geriatric disease, chronic disease management, primary and preventive care, immunisation and travel medicine. She has proficiently treated patients with hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disease, high cholesterol, asthma, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, headaches and anaemia.Dr. Kitana believes in keeping fit by practicing Yoga and hiking during her spare time. She also enjoys playing the piano. She speaks Arabic and English.
