Dr. Azeeza Amoori

Dr. Azeeza Safwan Amoori is a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS from Al-Quds University in Palestine. Subsequently, she qualified for the Palestinian Board in Internal Medicine, followed by the Arab Board in Internal Medicine. Additionally, she has completed her Basic Life Support (BLS) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) training Certification. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), UK and the Arab Board of Medical Specialisations.Dr. Amoori has spent a decade working in Palestine, garnering rich experience in her chosen field. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine, providing care for a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions at Al-Makassed Charitable Hospital in Jerusalem, then worked first as an Internist and later as the Head of the Mortality and Morbidity Committee at Istishari Arab Hospital in Ramallah, Palestine. She also served as an Assistant Professor at Al-Quds University, teaching Internal Medicine and Clinical Skills to medical students in both classroom and hospital settings. Later, she became the Head of the Intensive Care and Internal Medicine Departments at Jaffa Specialised Surgical Hospital. She worked briefly with the Canadian Medical Center in Ramallah as an Internal Medicine Specialist before relocating to the UAE.The management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and thyroid disorders, including the diagnosis and treatment of acute medical conditions, general medical checkups and preventive care, falls into Dr. Amoori’s area of expertise. She is passionate about evidence-based medicine and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. She is proficient in treating patients with conditions like anaemia, nutritional and vitamin deficiencies, chest infections, respiratory diseases, asthma, COPD, kidney, rheumatologic disorders, gastrointestinal symptoms and IBS, acute febrile illnesses, liver diseases and common neurological cases like headaches, dizziness, convulsions, weakness and loss of consciousness. She has extensive experience in critical care, ICU and treating endocrinology cases and has published Clinical Research in Internal Medicine.During her spare time, Dr. Amoori ensures that she keeps fit by swimming and exercising. She also enjoys reading fiction. She speaks Arabic and English.
