Dr. Asmaa Althiab

Dr. Asmaa Abdalazize Althiab is a Specialist in Dermatology at Medcare Medical Centre. After completion of her basic medical degree, she pursued a Master's degree in Dermatology from the Hospital for Dermatology and Venereal Diseases at Damascus University. She has done her aesthetic dermatology training at the same hospital as part of the continuation of her dermatological specialisation. She is Arab Board as well as Syrian Board Certified.She commenced her career in Syria as a Resident with the Hospital for Dermatology and Venereal Diseases at Damascus University. Later, she relocated to the UAE to join the HealthHub Clinic (Al-Futtaim Healthcare) in Dubai as a Specialist Dermatologist.Dr. Althiab’s expertise ranges from diagnosing, treating, to preventing conditions related to the skin, hair, and nails. Patients come to her with conditions like eczema, psoriasis, alopecia areata, acne, pyoderma or abscess and urticaria. She uses Botox for wrinkles and fine lines, dermal fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, and laser treatment for pigmentation, melasma and acne scars. She also uses PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy for skin and hair.During her leisure hours, she enjoys learning new skills and travelling. She speaks Arabic and English.
