Dr. Annu Susan George

Dr. Annu Susan George is a Consultant in the Department of Medical Oncology at Medcare. She completed her MBBS from the Government Medical College, Kochi, India and her MD from the Government Medical College, Coimbatore, India. She also holds a DM in Medical Oncology from the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kochi, India. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), Glasgow and the Royal College of Physicians (SCE) in Medical Oncology. She holds a certification from the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), in Lugano, Switzerland.Dr. George commenced her career as a Resident at the ESIC Hospital in Udyogamandal after which she became a Senior Resident in Medical Oncology at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, India. She briefly worked as an Observer in Medical Oncology and Transplant Infectious Diseases at Tausigg Cancer Centre, Cleveland and Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA. Returning to India, she worked as a Junior Consultant and then as a Consultant at Lakeshore Hospital and Research Centre, Ernakulam. Simultaneously, she was a Consultant at the Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital, Kochi, India before moving to the UAE.With over a decade of experience in cancer care, Dr. George is skilled in personalised cancer treatment and immunotherapy, with a strong commitment to community education and public health initiatives. She has proficiently treated carcinoma of the breast and lung, and gastrointestinal cancers including colorectal, pancreato-biliary, hepatocellular, stomach and oesophageal cancers. She treats gynaecological cancers, skin cancers, myeloma, lymphomas, head and neck cancers, sarcomas, genito-urinary malignancies, thyroid and other endocrine cancers, neuroendocrine tumour (NET) and neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs). She advocates a protocol-based multi-disciplinary approach to cancer treatment.In her spare time, she enjoys reading and painting. She speaks Malayalam, English, Tamil and Hindi.
