Dr. Aisha Alsuwaidi

Dr. Aisha Al Suwaidi is part of an emerging group of Emirati physicians with more than 20 years of experience in the field of family medicine.She is a graduate of UAE University (UAEU), ranked as the UAE’s leading university.She then continued her Master’s degree in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI)She is certified as a Consultant in family medicine from the Arab board of Health Specializations and from the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK.Dr. Aisha continued her education with a diploma in advanced diabetes management from UAEU in 2013 which has since enabled her to provide diabetes care through primary care facilities.Dr. Aisha has practiced in facilities across the UAE, which gave her a wide range of experience, including 10 years with the Dubai Health Authority, 2 years in UAE armed force and almost 7 years in Imperial College London Diaberes Center Abu Dhabi (ICLDC)Having specialized in family medicine, Dr. Aisha embarked on a career in diabetes after ICLDC’s Diabetes and Endocrinology fellowship in 2017. She has become part of a new generation of Emiratis tackle the growing diabetes prevalence in the UAE.
