Dr. Ahmed Kamal Ahmed

Dr. Ahmed Kamal Ahmed is a Consultant in Gastrointestinal surgery at Medcare Dr. Saeed Al Shaikh Gastro & Obesity Centre. He has a Cand. med degree and is Board-Certified in Gastrointestinal Surgery from the University of Oslo in Norway. Later, he completed a Master’s in Surgical Endoscopy from the University of Strasbourg in France. He also has an ECFMG Certification from the USA. He is a member of the Norwegian Medical Association (DNL), the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) and the European Hernia Society (EHS).Dr. Ahmed gained medical experience from hospitals in several countries, including Norway, France, and the UAE. His responsibilities have covered the entire gamut of gastrointestinal conditions, diagnosing and treating them through laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery, providing vaccinations and screening, and educating patients on the importance of a healthy lifestyle. He worked at the Oslo University Hospital, the Volda Hospital, the Alesund Hospital and the University Hospital of North Norway, all in Norway. Subsequently, he moved to the UAE.
