Dr. Anand Gorva

A part of Medcare Orthopaedic Department, Dr. Anand Gorva specialises in paediatric orthopaedics. He is a qualified FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics, and has completed fellowships in paediatric ortho and limb construction at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool, UK, and Sheffield Children's Hospital, UK. Dr. Gorva has worked extensively in the UK and been associated with the Central Manchester University Hospital, Stepping Hospital in Stockport, and Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool. He takes an active interest in professional associations in his field, and is a member of GMC, the British Limb Reconstruction Society, the British Society for Children's Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Dr. Gorva treats a variety of paediatric orthopaedic conditions, congenital defects and trauma cases that require surgical procedures. Some of the conditions for which he performs surgeries include cerebral palsy, clubfoot or congenital talipes equinovarus, hip disorders (DDH, slipped capital femoral epiphysis, perthes disease, early arthritis, AVN congenital coxa vara), scoliosis and normal variants in children. He conducts surgical corrections for arthrogryposis and congenital joint contracture syndromes, patellar disorders (congenital dislocation of the patella, subluxation, anterior knee pain, patellofemoral pain syndromes, etc), knee disorders - bowed legs (genu varum, blount's disease, etc), genu valgum (knock knees), limb anomalies (leg length discrepancy: hemimelias, PFFD, congenital pseudarthrosis, etc), using the Ilizarov technique.
