Dr. Amr El Zawahry

Dr. Amr El Zawahry is a distinguished doctor serving as a Consultant in Paediatrics and the Head of Department at Medcare Royal Specialty Hospital. He obtained his BBCh and MD from the Faculty of Medicine of Ain Shams University in Egypt. He followed this up with a BSc degree specialising in Neonatology, Genetics and Paediatrics, and a post-graduate Diploma from Post-Graduation Medical Education (PGME), Kell University, UK. He also holds a Medical Doctorate in Paediatric Research from Zagazig University, Egypt. Dr. El Zawahry is a member of the Emirates Paediatric Association, the Preterm Egyptian Association and the Neonatal Egyptian Association and is a Faculty Member of the American Heart AssociationDr. El Zawahry began his career, practising and teaching at Ain Shams University in Cairo and continued teaching at the Sohar Hospital University in Oman. In the UAE, Dr. Amr El Zawahry served as the Head of Paediatrics at Kings College Hospital London. He also held the position of Head of Paediatrics at Al Zahra Private Hospital and Head of Paediatrics at Mediclinic City Hospital. He has held significant positions, including that of a Senior Specialist at Latifa Hospital in Dubai covering the inpatient, outpatient, paediatric emergency, and paediatric intensive care unit for more than a decade. Later, he joined Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital as a Consultant and Head of Paediatrics under the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. He is also known for his dedication to medical education, having served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Sharjah, a Consultant Clinical Educator at Dubai Health Care City and an Assistant Professor in Paediatrics at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU).
