Dr. Amir Faour is a Consultant in the Department of Cardiology at the Medcare Hospital, Al Safa. He is an Interventional Cardiologist trained in Australia and the UK. He completed his BSc and MBBS from the University of Queensland in Australia. He is also a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidate at the University of New South Wales in Australia. He was an Interventional Cardiology and PhD Fellow at Campbelltown Hospital, Sydney, Australia followed by a fellowship in Structural Cardiology at Leeds General Infirmary in Leeds, UK. Dr Faour is skilled at OCT/IVUS/FFR/iFR-guided percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). He has successfully managed patients with coronary artery and valvular heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, metabolic syndrome, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, aortic stenosis and regurgitation, mitral stenosis and regurgitation, angina and, atrial fibrillation. He is the author of seven peer-reviewed international academic publications and 30 conference abstracts.
