Dr. Abdullah Alhaji

Dr. Abdullah Alhaji is a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery working at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBS from Damascus University in Syria and then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Traumatology and Orthopaedics (MD). He holds a Syrian Board Certificate from the Ministry of Health, Syria. He is a member of the Syrian Board in Orthopaedic Surgery, the Central Syrian Doctors' Association and the International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology.Dr. Alhaji began his career in Syria, where he worked as a Resident at the Al Razi Government Hospital, Aleppo. He also served as a full-time Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Syrian Speciality Hospital, Aleppo. Subsequently, he relocated to the UAE, working as a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon at AccuCare, the Canadian Medical Center, Abu Dhabi, the Burjeel Day Care Centre, Abu Dhabi and the American Hospital, Dubai. He was practising at Valiant Healthcare before he joined Medcare.Dr. Alhaji has extensive experience in managing all musculoskeletal disorders, peripheral nerve and tendon-related disorders, and knee, shoulder, ankle, foot and hand injuries and fractures, and paediatric orthopaedics. He is an expert in sports medicine, performs arthroscopic procedures for knee and shoulder injuries, and provides Regenerative Therapy including PRP, BMAC, steroids, and hyaluronic acid injections. He performs upper and lower limbs trauma surgeries, treats fractures and dislocations, applies casts and treats low back pain with SI joint fluoroscopic guided steroid injections and advanced physiotherapy treatment programmes. He practices surgical and conservative treatment for connective and soft tissue, including Carpal Tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve release, De Quervain's syndrome release, ganglion excision, Hallux Valgus correction, bunion excision, Tennis and Golf Elbow and Plantar Fasciitis.When he can find the time in his busy schedule, Dr. Alhaji likes to catch up with his reading and enjoys playing Football. He speaks Arabic and English.
