Dr. Abdul Nasser Hachem is a Consultant in the Department of Oral Maxillofacial at Medcare Hospital Al Safa. He completed his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) in Stomatology from the University of Medicine Iasi in Romania and his Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from University Charite, Humboldt University Berlin. He holds a German Board Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (GBFPS) from the University Hospital Leipzig, Saxonia, Germany. He also completed a PhD from the University of Leipzig Germany (Comparison of Mini-plate and Lag Screw Osteosynthesis in Treatment of Colum Fractures) and is certified by the Lebanese Board Oral & Maxillofacial (LBOMF). He holds memberships in several prestigious medical boards and societies, reflecting his commitment to his profession and continuous learning. He is a Faculty member at AO CMF Middle East.Dr. Hachem has an impressive professional background and in the initial days of his career, he worked in Lebanon as a General Medical Practitioner. He then moved to Germany to work as an Assistant Professor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Charite, Berlin. Having worked in leading hospitals and universities in Germany, such as Charité in Berlin, Leipzig Medical University, and Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena, gave Dr. Hachem an all-rounded exposure. He further enhanced his expertise in maxillofacial and facial plastic reconstructive surgery at these institutions. Throughout his career, he has been pivotal in introducing new procedures for managing craniofacial traumatology and tumour surgery with the navigation system. He has extensive experience as a Consultant in Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery in the UAE, serving at Mafraq Hospital and NMC Royal Hospital, both in Abu Dhabi, among other private clinics.
