Dr. Abdul Nasser Hachem

Dr. Abdul Nasser Hachem is a Consultant in the Department of Oral Maxillofacial at Medcare Hospital Al Safa. He completed his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) in Stomatology from the University of Medicine Iasi in Romania and his Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from University Charite, Humboldt University Berlin. He holds a German Board Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (GBFPS) from the University Hospital Leipzig, Saxonia, Germany. He also completed a PhD from the University of Leipzig Germany (Comparison of Mini-plate and Lag Screw Osteosynthesis in Treatment of Colum Fractures) and is certified by the Lebanese Board Oral & Maxillofacial (LBOMF). He holds memberships in several prestigious medical boards and societies, reflecting his commitment to his profession and continuous learning. He is a Faculty member at AO CMF Middle East.Dr. Hachem has an impressive professional background and in the initial days of his career, he worked in Lebanon as a General Medical Practitioner. He then moved to Germany to work as an Assistant Professor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Charite, Berlin. Having worked in leading hospitals and universities in Germany, such as Charité in Berlin, Leipzig Medical University, and Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena, gave Dr. Hachem an all-rounded exposure. He further enhanced his expertise in maxillofacial and facial plastic reconstructive surgery at these institutions. Throughout his career, he has been pivotal in introducing new procedures for managing craniofacial traumatology and tumour surgery with the navigation system. He has extensive experience as a Consultant in Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery in the UAE, serving at Mafraq Hospital and NMC Royal Hospital, both in Abu Dhabi, among other private clinics.Dr Hachem has more than two decades of experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, facial plastic surgery, dental implantology, craniofacial traumatology, orthognathic surgery, cleft-lip-palate and craniofacial deformities surgery, as well as head and neck and skin cancer surgery. He treats oral and maxillofacial cancer, cleft lip and palate deformities, benign skin tumours, TMJ disorders, sleep apnoea, salivary glands dysfunction, benign dental alveolar oral and facial tumours and removal of impacted teeth and difficult extraction through microsurgical endodontic surgery. He performs blepharoplasty, liposuction, hair transplantation, scar revision, lipo-transfer, lip plastic surgery, lip augmentation, face resurfacing, chin augmentation, Genioplasty, craniofacial surgery, distraction Osteogenesis in the maxillofacial field, laser therapy, dental alveolar surgery, dental implantology, radiography and radiology relevant to oral and maxillofacial surgery and periprosthetic surgery. He also performs facial bone and soft-tissue traumatology, treats cancerous conditions of the oral and facial regions, reconstructive surgery, facial aesthetic surgery and salivary gland surgery.He is a Board member Examiner at HAAD/DOH for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Licensure Examinations and Privileging. He is a recognised figure in his field, contributing to the medical community through numerous research publications and as an active Faculty Board Member of international societies related to his specialities. During his spare time, he enjoys travelling, writing, cycling and painting. He speaks Arabic, English, French and German.
