Dr. Tanmay Piyushchandra Pandya

Dr. Tanmay Pandya is a nephrologist with more than 12 years’ of clinical experience in the field of nephrology, with DM in Nephrology (Gold Medallist) from India’s premier Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre – Institute of Transplantation Sciences (IKDRC-ITS), affiliated to B.J. Medical College and Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. He did his MD (Internal Medicine) from Baroda Medical College and The M. S. University of Baroda. Prior to taking up his calling in Nephrology, Dr. Pandya was Assistant Professor in Medicine at Baroda Medical College.Dr. Pandya has extensive training in renal transplantation, with an annual case load of 300+ renal transplants at IKDRC-ITS. He specializes in difficult transplants, like ABO incompatible, high-risk and second kidney transplants. Apart from kidney transplant, Dr. Pandya has keen interest in interventional nephrology and vascular access care, placement of dialysis catheters (temporary and chronic) and kidney biopsies.He currently works as Senior Consultant in Nephrology and Kidney (Renal) Transplantation with Fortis Healthcare since 2017; at Fortis Flt. Lt. RajanDhall Hospital, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi and Fortis Escorts Hospital, Okhla, New Delhi. He regularly attends trainings, workshops and scientific meetings in India and abroad, to keep himself abreast with the latest advances in nephrology and kidney transplantation. He participates in Continuous Medical Education programmes to train physicians in the community for prevention and early detection of kidney diseases in vulnerable populations. His chief areas of interest are Kidney (Renal) Transplantation, Glomerulonephritis, Interventional Nephrology and Critical Care Nephrology.
