Why do my friend have Rabies phobia?

His Words-- [Before 2 years i was playing with stray dogs & one of the dog jumped on me & i felt like he bite/scratched my leg but I didn’t find even a single bite mark/scratch on my leg. But i was so scared of rabies & i had 5 shots on rabipur without even bitten/scratched. In feb end 2018 our neighbor’s pet dog jumped on me in anger but no scratch/bite. This time also i had 1 rabipur shot bcs of rabies phobia. Now before some days a stray dog ran behind my bike and when I stopped my bike he ran away. Again this time I started having anti rabies vaccine shots because of phobia and very next day after my 4th shot i was standing somewhere & a stray dog was behind me and i felt something but I don’t know either he smell/licked my leg or his tail touched my leg but no scratch or bite mark or irritation. Now again i am very much scared of RABIES. My 5th shot is scheduled after 13 days] Why he is so scared of Rabies? He is not able to sleep properly. His family is so worried about him.
