The doctor advised me to get a complete blood count test as a part of my regular body check-up. I’ve had this test before and have often observed the doctor mentioning something about CBC with a differential. I’m curious to know what does it mean. Can anyone tell me what is the meaning of CBC test with differential?

CBC means complete blood count study. it includes total count of RBC, WBC, Platelets and also differentiation between the WBC whether neutrophils, eosinophil, monocyte, lymphocyte, basophil in their respective percentages. This is called the differential.
