Typhoid positive
Hi
In recent blood report provided for my mother the Dr declared it as positive as she is near the positive border 1.8
And he asked to use calpal 650 and taxim of tabs for 7days and atoz vitamin tabs
There is no fever, but my mom feels drowsy and body aches , I live in a diff city, I am worried if the prescription above is sufficient or not as even after 7 days she reports same symptoms..after taking tabs she says she feels better in morning, but by afternoon to evening she feels like sleeping due to pains.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Hello.... Antibodies for typhoid comes positive within one week of onset of symptoms.... Doctor will also do culture and sensitivity test for salmonella... Since many drugs are resistant to salmonella culture and sensitivity test is necessary... But it should have been done before putting on antibiotics... Anyhow wait and see if symptoms reocuur get culture and sensitivity test at first.
