Thumb finger hand injury
Asking for my mother 58years old,she gave support to her right hand while getting up from the floor pressed hardly it seems now she is having more pain couldn't shake her thumb fingure inside the palm muscles got swelled up..Please suggest any pain balm or something as first aid.No bleeding and no fracture as we see..TIA.

Yes you should meet an orthopaedic because swelling and immobility are signs of fracture.. so that should be ruled out first. Scaphoid fractures are also difficult to be visible on x rays of hair line

Hi.. I would suggest u to meet an Orthopaedician ASAP because if it’s a scaphoid fracture( one of the small bones near the hand) it needs immediate treatment else there are chances of it going for avascular necrosis. So kindly meet specialist doctor!!
