Someone I know had one of his testicle removed. He had major pain one day and had to get into to surgery immediately. I want to know what would have caused this. Friends who know him personally say he hasn't masturbated ever. Is this the reason he had to get his testicle removed or are there any other reasons to this?

orchiectomy is indicated in the management of a suspected testicular tumor. A testicular tumor should be suspected in any patient with the physical findings of a painless, firm, and irregular mass arising from the testicle...nothing to do with masturbation..
