Hello.. Am assuming you are trying to stay stones in gall bladder and not liver.....you should avoid fatty and oily foods as much as possible... Reduce your weight...well operation depends...each time the stone passes you may have episodes of colicky pain...it depends on the number of stones too...discuss with the surgeon after getting usg done
