Soft tissue damage on thigh

Asked for Female, 25 Years

I met with an accident 2weeks back and my thigh is swollen and the pain is acute. The swelling has not reduced in 2 weeks and I was suggested to take combiflam to reduce the pain. The doc suggest that it could be soft tissue damage. Could you please give me a better picture of what a soft tissue damage is and what needs to be done and how long will it take for it to get better.
