Hi, My father is diabetic and currently noticed black stool,consulted a doctor and endoscopy done. fasting blood sugar - 168.9 mg/dl

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  So what did the doctor suggest? As per this reports, the hb is very low, and tgere are varices which im sure you are aware of. Better to take him to a general surgeon or a gastroenterologist in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
