Scar due to carbolic acid on face

Asked for Male, 35 Years

My husband got bitten by a stray dog in face. Doc cleaned the wound with carbolic acid which has resulted in brown scar. Wounds have heeled but scar is still there. Plz let me know what to do. Will the scar fade with time. Suggest some ointment. Plz
