Right thumb got fractured

Asked for Female, 24 Years

I got hurt on 29th april,2017 with a cosco tennis ball. I got my x-ray done and the doc suggested to go for reduction and fixation or extension block pinning of my right thumb. Could you please suggest your opinion on this regard .
