Hello doctor on 14th Jan 2016 I had a protected sex with a sex worker. After 2 days I fell sore throat , flu like sym ,on 4th day swellon gland at neck and arm pit and after few days swellon spleen ...after 1 and half month problem in my gum started they started reducing continuously andlot of small pimples on body with itching ....and all symptoms are present till date 12 may 2016 plz help me doctor....and also my one knee swell from inside like a small ball inside plz help is this HIV or any other std ....I did protected sex also I kissed her in that toungh touch .... 2 times plz help me sir...

Hi there.. HIV doesn't show symptoms as early as two days after infection so your symptoms couldn't be because of HIV.. infectious mononucleosis also called kissing disease as it spreads by saliva, could be the cause for your symptoms.. and knee swelling could be due to septic arthritis.. I suggest you consult nearest ictc centre and get your HIV status checked.. consult nearest physician once..
