Regarding HIV test
I had an unprotected anal sex before 1month. After that I was suffering from some gland inflammation(throat) that is usual to me. I was too much scared about getting infected and go for test. I had P24 antigen test and HIV Ag/Ab combo assay(Cmia). Both are negative. What is the percentage of being negative?

Hello there. I can understand your concern. Repeat the tests again after 3 months. If they are negative, then probably you don't have HIV. Consult a general physician in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
