Prolonged periods

Asked for Female, 28 Years

Hi mam, I got delivered a baby boy on May 30 2020, After delivery I have periods for 4 times in 8 months, after that I have period for 1 month... After 40days again I got periods from 1month some days heavy bleeding... before pregnancy I have pcod.. please help me out with this problem 🙏

Breastfeeding often causes irregular menses...exclusive breastfeeding causes no menses....it's the nature's way of preventing back to back pregnancy....once you wean off the baby from.breast milk....and stop feeding and stop lactating...your menses should resume to normal cycles....however with irregular cycles...you have a chance of conceiving again...please use progesterone contraceptives....it is safe for lactating mothers...won't harm the baby...
