Your son at his this stage begin to have fewer bowel movements and it is common for breast fed babies to go a day without passing stools. The frequency of your babies bowel movements shouldn't be a particular cause for concern unless there is no movement for 4 - 5 days or if baby seems to be in pain. You should check consistency of the stools rather than frequency, as solid, pellet like poos may indicate constipation...I have a few suggestions which might stimulate easier bowel movements When your baby seems to be straining to have a BM, place the palms of your hands beneath the soles of his feet, allowing his to push against them. While he is on his back, gently press and massage the lower left side of his abdomen; this may stimulate the muscles to contract and move matter for evacuation. While baby is on his back, grasp his legs by his knees/ thighs and move them in a bicycling motion onto and away from his abdomen. This is another fun and relaxing way to stimulate muscular activity..if no improvements consult pediatrician they will help you further Regards
