Phlebitis in L elbow. Wrong diagnosis?
Recently needed an IV.13 hrs with iv port and arm was tender. When discharged it was painful. Saw my pcp on Thurs., diagnosed with a phlebitis. Now severe pain, red streaks going down toward wrist, and itchy rash covering my back. Have taken 2 500 mg amoxicillin and tons of tylenol, ice, compression, heat, rest. What's wrong with my arm?!
