Parasite from 2 month
Hi, Suffering from intenstinal parasite from last two month finally ova and parasite test came positive for ascarisis. Symptomps are - Gas,Intenstinal cramp,dizziness,fatigue,wake up multiple time in night. Treatment - Doctor advised to take mebandazole and then albandazole but nothing helps. Symptomps goes away for one or two days but came again. Also taken albandazole for two week. But still passong worms in my stool after the dosages completed. I also taken homeopathy cina and other medicine prescribed by homeopathic doc. It also gives temporary relief . I think it is complecated case of ascarisis or i have some other problem with it like other worms or bacteria.? What should i do next any advise. Thank in advance

Hello, ascariasis (round worm infestation) it is pretty common in India (about 10% are having), so nothing to worry about it. Yes you have taken correct treatment for the infestation (that is mebendazole, albendazole, others like secnidazole, ivermectin). Other causes for your symptoms would be gram negative bacterial infection (complication of ascariasis), or Inflammatory bowel disease, anemia (very low hemoglobin), gastritis. Don't worry all be treated, please consult a general surgeon.
