Painful engorged vein thenar eminence

Asked for Female, 34 Years

Probably a result of overuse and unstable MCP joint, weak opponents pollicus? one of the veins is swollen and extremely tender to touch just medial to my thenar emminence, could it be a clot? It is purplish and pulsing
