Normal thyroid profile
My wife, 58 yrs, has been taking Thyronorm 50 tablet since many years. She stopped taking it for 10 days and got her Thyroid profile tested which resulted in values T3=120.05, T4=8.5 and TSH=4.581 which are all normal values. Should she be continuing taking medicine for Thyroid?

Hello there. I can understand your concern. Once a person is diagnosed with hypothyroidism, then that person has to take medication life long. If don't want to take, then nothing much we can do. Just repeat the tests after a month and you will know why you have to take life long. Best regards.
